10. Stow the jack:
a. Raise Jack.
b. If applicable remove jack and place in storage
location.
11. Connect Safety Chain.
3.7.2 Connect PTO
Follow this procedure:
1. Check that the driveline is the appropriate length.
Measure to be sure (Refer to Section 3.5).
2. Check that the driveline telescopes easily and the
shield rotates freely.
3. Clean the splines in the yokes on both ends of the
driveline.
4. Clean the splines on the tractor and Reddi-Arm
shafts.
5. Remove both ends of the input driveline from storage
and assemble them together.
6. Attach the driveline to the machine:
NOTE:
Remove guard from machine by removing the top nut to
better access the machine shaft if needed. (Fig. 19)
a. Push the lock pin or retract the locking collar.
b. Align the splines.
c. Slide the yoke over the shaft.
d. Push on the yoke until the lock pin/collar clicks
into place.
e. Pull on the yoke to be sure it is locked in position.
6. Compress the driveline and attach yoke to the tractor
PTO drive shaft:
a. Push the lock pin or retract the locking collar.
b. Align the splines.
c. Slide the yoke over the shaft.
d. Push on the yoke until the lock pin/collar clicks
into place
e. Pull on the yoke to be sure it is locked in position.
7. Attach the driveline shield anchor chain on both ends
to an adjacent component to hold it in place.
