Monitoring the instrument cleanliness
Note:
It is recommended that a stable count rate no greater than 500kcps is
achieved before any measurements are performed.
The cleanliness of the instrument can be monitored using the
Count rate meter
.
This check should be done routinely and, if required a clean sequence performed,
as described above.
When checking the cleanliness of the system, first perform a clean sequence
using
filtered deionised water
.
Monitor the count rate select
Tools-Count rate meter
from the main menu;
this will open the
Count rate meter
window.
