5.6 Handling
5.6.1 Preliminary checks
Before switching on the device, a series of checks must be carried out in order to use the device correctly and
avoid accidents.

Check that the device has not been damaged during unpacking or transport.

Check with care the integrity of the electric cables, the battery, the control panel, the handles, the rudder
and the wheels.

Check the battery charge status.

Test operation without load.
Before climbing any type of stair, check that it:

Have admissible dimensions considering the limits established in par. "Compatible stairs".

It is not covered with rugs.

It is not slippery.
The admissible use of the device is exclusively that described in this manual;
Read these instructions carefully to familiarize yourself with the functionality of the device.
To become familiar with the device, it is recommended to carry out up and down tests on stairs without
load and at low speed.
Any type of modification to the operating parameters is forbidden. Antano Group s.r.l. declines any
responsibility in case of tampering in the settings. A variation of the values set by the manufacturer can
compromise the stability of the machine.
During movement operations do not use the on/off key switch to stop the device, unless an emergency
stop is required.
The transport of loads other than those indicated in this manual is forbidden
It is forbidden for the user to wear scarves or other clothing that may interfere with the moving parts of
the device.
Before each use, check the battery charge status. Do not undertake operations of climb or descent on
stairs if the battery level is not equal or greater than "II" (See paragraph "Battery charge level check")
Pay maximum attention during the maneuvering phases of the device, avoiding distractions and keeping
your hands firmly on the handles and / or at the rudder.
Do not use the device on rough, damp, wet or otherwise slippery stairs
Before undertaking any movement, check that there are no things or people that could interfere with the
path of the device
Before starting any handling, check that the weight of the material transported is evenly distributed
within its packaging to avoid unbalancing the latter
During all the phases described in par. "Functionality" it is necessary to wear the following personal
protective equipment: Protective gloves and safety shoes.
