Mechanical back rest release / CPR

Handle at the head end near the outer side rail guide
When operating the mechanical re-
lease, hold the back rest firmly in the
current position and, if possible, relieve
some of the load. Pull the release to
disengage the back rest and lower it
manually into the end position.
Design with GS / design without side rails
Handle in the middle of the bed below the side panel

Press the S1 button on the hand con-
troller again to reactivate electrical back
rest adjustment.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
Depending on the design and type of hospital bed, it can be put
into the following positions by adjusting the back rest, the upper
leg and the lower leg supports as well as the height of the bed:
Back rest
Use the corresponding buttons on the hand controller to adjust
the back rest.

When raised, the back rest can be adjusted by 120 mm over its
usual length to the head board.
This function (mattress compensation) allows the patient to sit in
a comfortable position while avoiding compression of the but-
tocks area, the stomach and the upper body.
Caution! The back rest is designed for the mechani-
cal load that is applied when a reclining person with
a maximum resident weight according to the speci-
fication on the rating plate is being raised. Sitting on
the back rest is not the intended use and may result
in damage and injury.
