NOTE:
H old th e tool pointed straigh t at th e bolt or nut.
NOTE:
Excessive fastening torque may damage the
bolt/nut or impact socket. Before starting your job,
always perform a test operation to determine the
proper fastening time for your bolt or nut.
NOTE:
If the tool is operated continuously until the
battery cartridge has discharged, allow the tool to rest
for minutes before proceeding with a fresh battery
c artrid ge.
The fastening torque is affected by a wide variety of
factors including the following. After fastening, always
c h ec k th e torq ue w ith a torq ue w renc h .
. When the battery cartridge is discharged almost
completely, voltage will drop and the fastening
torq ue w ill be red uc ed .

I mpac t soc ket
•
F ailure to use th e c orrec t siz e impac t soc ket
w ill c ause a red uc tion in th e f astening torq ue.
•
A worn impact socket (wear on the hex end or square
end) will cause a reduction in the fastening torque.
3.
Bolt
•
Even though the torque coefficient and the class
of bolt are th e same, th e proper f astening torq ue
w ill d if f er ac c ord ing to th e d iameter of bolt.
•
Ev en th ough th e d iameters of bolts are th e same, th e
proper f astening torq ue w ill d if f er ac c ord ing to th e
torque coefficient, the class of bolt and the bolt length.

Compensate by fastening for a longer period of time.

T h e manner of h old ing th e tool or th e material of
d riv ing position to be f astened w ill af f ec t th e torq ue.

tion in th e f astening torq ue.

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is
switched off and the battery cartridge is removed
before attempting to perform inspection or
maintenance.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
T o maintain prod uc t S A F ET Y and R EL I A BI L I T Y ,
repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should
be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.
