To install the pad, first remove all dirt and foreign mat
-
ter f rom th e h ook-and -loop sy stem of th e pad and th e
bac king pad . A ttac h th e pad to th e bac king pad so th at
th eir ed ges are aligned .
To remove the pad from the backing pad, just pull up
f rom its ed ge.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the pad and
backing pad are aligned and securely attached.

w h ic h may c ause loss of c ontrol or th e pad may be
th row n out f rom th e tool.
OPERATION
CAUTION:
Only use Makita genuine pads for
polishing.
CAUTION:
Make sure the w ork material is
secured and stable. Falling object may cause
personal injury.
CAUTION:
Hold the tool firmly with one hand
on the sw itch handle and the other hand on the
front grip ( or side handle) w hen performing the
tool.
CAUTION:
Do not run the tool at high load
over an extended time period.
I t may result in tool
malfunction which causes electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to touch the rotating
part.
NOTICE:
Never force the tool.
Ex c essiv e pressure
may lead to decreased polishing efficiency, damaged
pad , or sh orten tool lif e.

Continuous operation at high speed

Use a wool pad for rough finishing then use a sponge
pad for fine finishing.
