[3] -2. Removal/Installation of Drill Chuck

Firmly fix Drill chuck extractor (No.1R139) in vise, and lock spindle with the drill chuck extractor.
Holding Hex bar 10 with square socket (No.1R298) securely with drill chuck, and turn the hex socket counterclockwise
using Torque wrench shaft (No.1R223) and Ratchet head (No.1R224). Now drill chuck can be removed from spindle.

Hold Hex bar 10 with square socket (No.1R298) securely with drill chuck. Set the tightening torque of Torque wrench
shaft (No.1R223) to 35 - 45 N.m. And then fasten drill chuck to the machine by turning the hex socket clockwise
with the torque wrench shaft and Ratchet head (No.1R224). (Fig. 4)
1) Remove armature from gear housing as described in [3] -1 "Replacing Armature". (Fig. 1 and 2)
2) Remove inner housing from gear housing by unscrewing three 4x18 tapping screws. (Fig. 5)
3) Remove pin 4 and steel ball 3.5 from spindle in order not to lose or damage them. And then remove retaining ring S-12
from spindle with Retaining ring R and S pliers (No.1R291). (Fig. 6)
