Tu rn th e shear b lades upside do wn and install it so that
the detent pins on th e to ol fit in the hole in th e shear
blad es. Make sure that the sh ear blades are set in place
securely a s fa r as the y reach th e b ase pla te.

Pla ce th e u ndercover so that the symbol on the
und ercove r is aligne d with the symbo l on the lockin g
lever.

Pre ss the unde rcover do wn a nd with the u ndercover
pre ssed down turn th e un dercover clockwise until the
symbol on the labe l is alig ned with the symbol
on
the locking lever (the undercover is completely locked.).

At this time, make sure that the lo ckimg le ver fits in the
gro ove in the undercover.
Remove the b lade cover a nd then tur n on the tool to
check it for prope r movement.
NOTE:
•
When the shea r blades doe s n ot o perate prop erly,
there is a p oor fit betwe en th e blades and crank.
Redo from the beginn ing.

Remove the base frame and place the to ol u pside do wn.
CAUTIO N:
•
Before placing the tool upside down, be sure to
remove the ba se frame ( only for Mo del UM16 4D).

counterclockwise until the symbo l
