Shear blade maintenance

Smear the blade b efo re and once per hour du ring
ope rati on usin g machine oil or simil ars.

Afte r oper atio n, remove dust fro m both sides of the bla de
with wired brush, wipe off it wi th a rag a nd th en apply
eno ugh low-viscosity o il, such as mach ine oil etc. and
spray-type lub rica ting oil.
CAUTIO N:
Do n ot wa sh th e bla des in wa ter. Failure to do so
may cause rust or damage on the tool.
Removing or installing hedge shear blades
CAUTIO N:
Before re mo ving or install ing sh ear blad es, always
be sure th at the to ol is switched off and the battery
cartridge is re mo ved .
When replacing the shear blad es, a lwa ys wear
gloves without removin g blade cove r so that ha nds
and face d o not directly contact the blade. Failure to
do so ma y ca use per son al i njury.
NOTE:
Do not wipe off gre ase from the gea r and crank.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the too l.
For specific wa y of removin g and insta lling shear
blad es refer to the r ever se of a package for
accessory she ar blades.
Removing the hedge shear blades

with the lo cking leve r pre ssed tur n the u ndercover
counterclockwise until the symbo l
on the undercover
is al igned with the symbol
on the locking lever.
