Replacing the suction head
The felt
Þ
lter (

) of the suction head can become clogged.
It is recommended to replace the suction head once every
three months in order to ensure unimpeded fuel
ß
ow to the
carburetor.
To remove the suction head for replacement, pull it out through
the tank
Þ
ller neck using a piece of wire bent at one end to
form a hook.
Cleaning the cylinder area
Remove cover.
Remove the fan housing.
CAUTION: To prevent eye injury, always wear eye protection
when cleaning the
Þ
lter with compressed air!
The entire area (

) can now be brushed clean or cleaned with
compressed air.
A bottle brush can come in handy for cleaning out the cylinder
ribs.

Replacing/cleaning the spark arrester screen
(for models with catalytic converter)
Caution: Do not use sharp or pointed objects for screen
cleaning. Damaged or misformed screen wires may result.
Let cool the engine down for sure!
The spark arrester screen should be checked and cleaned
regulary.
Replace spark arrester screen when needed.
Unscrew both screws (

) and remove the spark arrester screen
(

). Install in reverse order.
