MAJIC ATTIC LIFT PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS

Using the same size lumber as your floor joist, cut two 22.5" pieces to insert into the space
between the trusses. Anchor these to the adjacent trusses with some deck screws.
(See Figure 4 for reference.)
**This area will be the load bearing structure for the weight (150 lb max) of the items
loaded in the basket and the Majic Attic Lift combined.**
It is important that you perform the following instructions.
NOTE: If you cannot reach behind the truss to drive a screw, cut four 8" blocks that you can
fasten to the truss from the opening you are working in. Use the larger block to push the
smaller one back to the point where the larger one is flush with the opening. Put a couple of
3" deck screws into the smaller blocks, then you can place your header between the trusses
and use two 3" deck screws per side to attach to the blocks you just placed.
