REMOTE WALL SWITCH
Position the wall switch. Do not extend beyond the 15’ of wire.
OPTIONAL DC REMOTE SYSTEMS
These instructions replace the section entitled Hearth Mount
in the Millivolt hand held remote instructions supplied with the
remote.
1. Plug in remote connector wire to remote receiver.
2. Connect the wire terminal from the remote receiver. This
replaces the 15’ wall switch connection to the switch.

3. Mount remote control receiver at junction box (for your wall
switch).
Pilot must be lit and the valve control knob turned to the “ON” position. Meter leads must be con-
nected to the TP and TH/TP terminals on the control valve.
• Turn RS-ON-OFF switch to the “ON” position.
• If meter is reading more than 175 millivolts and the main burner does not come on, then re-
place control valve.
• If meter is reading less than 175 millivolts, refer to Troubleshooting section of this manual to
determine the cause of the low reading.
• Turn RS-ON-OFF switch to the “RS” position and wall switch to “ON”.
• If meter is reading more than 175 millivolts and the main burner does not come on, then re-
place control valve.
• If meter is reading less than 175 millivolts, refer to Troubleshooting section of this manual to
determine the cause of the low reading.
NOTE
Remote receiver must be mounted out-
side the appliance due to high tempera-
tures inside the chamber. This will pre-
vent failures and longer battery life.
