Important Information
This owner's manual is to be left with the gas log appliance. It contains information to be used before,
during and after the installation of the gas log appliance. The installer of the gas log appliance
should carefully study this manual before installing the appliance. All people who will be operating
the appliance should also carefully study this manual.
The installation of this appliance must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes,
with the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54. The installation and any service of the
appliance must be by a qualified service person. After installing the appliance, the installer should
describe the operation of the appliance to the people who will be operating it.
The appliance is equipped with a pilot safety system that turns off the appliance if enough fresh
air is not available. The operation of and the cleaning of the pilot light safety system are explained
in other sections of this manual. Do not use this appliance if any part has been under water.
Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect the appliance and to replace any part of
the control system and any gas control, which has been under water.
