STEP 1
Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Wait for few seconds
Verify if B10E1 is present?
Is B10E1 present?
Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure
STEP 2
Ignition OFF
Battery negative
DISCONNECTED
Wait for one minute
Passenger Thorax airbag wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED
SRS ECU wiring harness
connector/s DISCONNECTED
Battery negative CONNECTED
Ignition ON
Check the voltage between pin
B17 of the SRS ECU wiring
harness connector and battery
ground
Check the voltage between pin
B18 of the SRS ECU wiring
harness connector and battery
ground
Is the value=0V?
Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify
Suspect SRS ECU
Replace SRS ECU with a new
one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC’s
