The repair methods given by the manufacturer in this document are based on the technical specifications, current at the time of release. The methods may be modified as a result of changes introduced by the
manufacturer in the production of the various component units and accessories from which the vehicles are manufactured. The reproduction, translation, transmission, in part of or whole of the present document,

STEP 1

Connect the smart tester
Turn the ignition ON
Initialise the diagnostic tool
Record the DTC and clear
Turn ignition OFF
Turn ignition ON
Wait for few seconds
Verify if B10A3 is present?

Is B10A3 present?

Intermittent problem exists
Refer the intermittent problem
inspection procedure

STEP 2

Ignition OFF
Battery negative
DISCONNECTED
Wait for one minute
Driver Curtain air bag wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED

Connect the Dummy resistor to
Driver Curtain air bag wiring
harness connector

Battery negative CONNECTED
Ignition ON

Using diagnostic tool , verify if
B10A3 is still present?

Is B10A3 present?

Suspect Driver Curtain air bag

Ignition OFF
Battery negative
DISCONNECTED
Wait for one minute

Replace Driver Curtain air bag
with a new one.
Clear the DTC and verify

STEP 3

Ignition OFF
Battery negative
DISCONNECTED
Wait for one minute
SRS ECU wiring harness
connector/s DISCONNECTED
Driver Curtain air bag wiring
harness connector
DISCONNECTED

Connect the Dummy resistor to
Driver Curtain air bag wiring
harness connector
Check the resistance between
pin B15 and B16 of the SRS
ECU wiring harness connector

Is the value=2±

0.3

Ω

?

Replace the wiring harness
Clear the DTC and verify

Suspect SRS ECU
Replace SRS ECU with a new
one.
Check and verify for any new
DTC’s
