DTC  INFORMATION 

PROBABLE CAUSES OF FAILURE 

NORMAL OPERATION 

 

Ignition  ON 

 

RPAS ECU sends  6 to 9V supply to all the 04 RPAS  
sensors when the  vehicle is in reverse gear 
 

DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS 

 

Ignition  ON 

 

The input voltage to RPAS sensors is more than 9 V 
 

DTC REACTIONS 
 

 

All sectors in infotainment will display a cross bar   
 

HEALING CONDITION 

 

Ignition Off then On 

 

 

 

Short to battery in RPAS sensor 
circuit 
 

 

Malfunctioning RPAS ECU 

 

 

RPAS  ECU  receives  inputs  from  04  RPAS  sensors  .The  RPAS  sensors  are  ultrasonic  proximity 

detectors which are mounted on the  bumper, vibrates at its resonant frequency and emits a sound 

wave that bounces off objects in the vehicle’s path. The reflected echo is detected by the sensor. The 

sensors internal circuit tracks the time taken for the echo and compute the distance from the vehicle  

to the object
