Intended Use
•
The emission tester is intended exclusively for the sampling and analysis of
vehicle exhaust gases.
•
The maximum exhaust gas temperature during use of the supplied probe is
250 °C.
•
The maximum exhaust gas temperature during use of the optionally available
high-temperature probe is 750 °C.
•
The operating temperature is between 5 and 45 °C.
•
The unit is not suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres or use in
washing bays. The unit must be protected from moisture and humidity at all
times.
•
The unit may not be modified without express written permission by the
manufacturer. Non-compliance invalidates the declaration of conformity.
1.4
Requirements on Operating and Service Personnel
WARNING
All persons employed in the operation, maintenance, installation, removal and dis-
posal of the device must
•
be at least 18 years old,
•
be mentally and physically suited for these activities,
•
be demonstrably trained and instructed in writing,
•
have read and understood the operating instructions, especially the instruc-
tions what to do in the event of defects or malfunctions,
•
be on record as having been instructed in safety guidelines,
•
have practical experience in working with vehicle lifts and the hazards inherent
in such equipment.
