! BEGIN HERE !
1. Unpack and read instructions.
2. Make sure the electrical switch is “OFF”.
3. Remove white plastic on the grinding wheel arbor, (for transit only).
4. Mount a grinding wheel on the arbor (the 1/2” wheel needs the
1/2” spacer, included) torque the arbor nut with the spanner wrench
(included). Remember the arbor nut is a left-handed thread.
5. Attach the motor guard plate to black bolting bars.
6. Attach the grit guard, and crank handle. Test the crank to be sure that
the treaded rod has not become bent in transit, if it has immediatly call
1-800-328-1110, and request a new one.
7. Locate a 115 volt grounded single phase 60 Hz electrical outlet and
plug in the grinder cord.
8. Switch to “ON” and observe that the wheel rotation is clear and
smooth. (minimum vibration)
9. Switch to “OFF” and let the grinder run to a stop.
NOTE:
The MAG-8000 base has two open mounting holes for stationary
mounting. (5/16” bolt) The grit guard exit port is designed to connect to
your shop vac for a clean grinding environment.
Lawn mower blade knives have sharp, cutting edges. Wear
protective clothing recommended by the blade manufacturer.

PREPARATION OF BLADE TO BE SHARPENED
1. Clean the blade to its base material, use a MAG-12000 Blade Cleaner.
2. Remove all burrs & nicks from the underside of the balde, to facilitate
smooth movement of the blade on the work table. Use a conventional
pedestal grinder.
