Charging the battery
The battery is not fully charged in the new camera. Fully charge camera and use it for the
first time until fully discharged in order to optimize its capacity and service life.
1. Switch off camera
2. Connect camera with USB cable to USB
mains adapter.
3. Plug mains adapter into socket with an
AC current according to the rating plate
of the USB mains adapter.
4. Battery charging commences automatically.
The battery can also be charged via the USB
connection to the computer:
1. Switch off camera.
2. Connect camera with USB cable to computer.
3. Battery charging commences automatically.
The status display LED at the rear of the camera shows the following charging statuses:
The camera cannot be used during charging.
If charging is started without inserted battery or with an unsuitable battery, the LED is
switched off.
