Formatting a memory card
This function formats the memory card and deletes all images contained thereon.
1. In Photo or Playback mode press
SET
button.
2. Use the
/
buttons to select
MENU
and select
SET
.
3. Use the
/
buttons in the menu to select the Setup menu.
4. Select [Formatting] using the
/
buttons and then confirm by pressing the
SET
button again.
Select [Cancel] and press the
SET
button to cancel the operation.

Note:
• Caution: Formatting irretrievably deletes all photos and films on the memory card – even photos that are
protected against deletion (see page 42). Prior to formatting, all important data should therefore be backed
up to a computer.
• Write protected memory cards can not be formatted.
