This gives the switchboard time to fi nd an outside
line. A Pause is normally stored after the switchboard
access code (e.g. 9)
1. When storing a number, press and hold
until the
display shows ‘P’. You can then continue storing the
phone number.
NOTE
You can c
ancel storing an entry at any time during
the process by pressing

to return to standby.
Entering
characters/names
Use the alphanumeric keypad to enter names in
the phonebook.
For instance to enter the name Paul:

once
A Press
‘2’

U Press
‘8’
twice
L Press ‘5’ three times
To enter a space press ‘0’
Press ‘Clear’ to ‘Delete’ a character.
To edit an entry
1. Press

to ‘Edit Entry’ and press ‘Select’.
3. Edit the name and press ‘OK to confi rm. Press ‘Clear’
to ‘Delete’ characters.
