CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Your coffee maker should be cleaned following each use.
1.
Turn the unit off and unplug. Allow the coffee maker to cool completely before cleaning. DO NOT immerse
the housing in water to clean.
2.
Use a damp, soft sponge or cloth to wipe down the exterior housing and water tank.
NOTE
: DO NOT clean using alcohol or chemical cleaners and solvents.
3.
Clean all removable parts with a mild dish detergent. Make sure to rinse and dry all pieces thoroughly. The
carafe is dishwasher safe.
CLEANING MINERAL DEPOSITS
To keep the coffee maker operating efficiently, it is important to clean out mineral deposits left by water at least
once every 3 months, depending on frequency of use and water quality. Fill the carafe with 1 part white vinegar
to 3 parts clean water and pour into the water tank. DO NOT put in any coffee grounds. Run the unit using the
instructions in the “Before Use” section. When brewing cycle is complete, dispose of the water and run at least 2
more times using clean water or until there is no discoloration or odor in the water that has dripped out of the
funnel.
