General Safety Precautions
•
Always keep these instructions to hand. They should remain with the machine in the event
it is moved or the regular operator is replaced.
•
This machine is designed for storing and transporting biological products, and is intended
exclusively for professional use in farms and laboratories. It must only be used in
accordance with these instructions and its design should not be adapted or modified to fit
other applications, such as the storage of foodstuffs.
•
Any repairs made to this machine must only be carried out by persons authorised by the
manufacturer. Any parts or accessories that may be provided by the manufacturer must
be used for repair purposes only. Failure to comply with these instructions may damage
the machine or cause bodily injury.
•
The electricity supply to the machine is only cut off when it has been unplugged at the
socket.
Unplug the machine before cleaning it or carrying out any maintenance work. Do not
unplug it by pulling on the power cable. If the plug is difficult to access, cut off the power
supply from the distribution board or fuse box.
•
Make sure the power cable is not damaged or stripped and that the copper conductors
have not been exposed, as this could lead to a risk of electrocution. If the cable is suffering
from any of the above defects, replace it with a new one.
•
This machine is heavy. Two people are required in order to move it.
•
Keep the machine in a well-ventilated location. This will improve its performance and
ensure any leaks of refrigerant gas will not pose a health hazard.
•
Keep the machine away from external sources of heat or cold, and ensure there is no risk
of liquids being splashed or spilled onto it.
•
Make sure the machine sits perfectly flat and there is no risk of it falling or being knocked
over.
