When using the parallel guide fence on the left side
of the machine, the cutting width is the direct
distance between the guiding surface of the guide
fence and the tracing edge (23). This distance is the
same for all cutting angles!
Fig. 29: Adjusting the cutting width via the parallel guide
fence
When using the parallel guide fence on the right
side of the machine, the tracing edges (24), which
are graded by cutting angle, apply.
When you cut with the right side of the chain at the
scribe mark, you must subtract the chain width (6.8
mm [0.27 in] for a vertical cut).
A test cut is recommended to determine the correct
setting.

Danger
Risk of injury from ejected saw cuttings
Saw cuttings can be thrown against the base plate or in the direction of the
sawing operation. There is a risk of injury!
➢
Prior to starting the sawing process, ensure that there are no persons or
objects in the vicinity of the saw.
➢
Remove any slipping saw sections. Switch off the machine for this action.
Wait until the saw chain is stopped.
To perform bevel and compound cuts, the chain guide rail can be swiveled up to 60° in both directions.
