Sawing with the Flexi bar
Caution
Risk of injury due to Flexi bar snapping open
The Flexi bar is pretensioned and can snap open in an uncontrolled
manner.
➢
Hold it firmly with both hands when opening and closing it.
Before the first use:
The chip breaker guard of the Flexi bar must be cut to fit the bar before it is used for the first time.
Use the following procedure to cut the chip
breaker guard of the Flexi bar:
1.
Put the Flexi bar on a flat surface.
2.
Set the cutting depth on the machine to 3 mm
and the angle scale to 0°.
3.
Position the machine at the red handle of the
Flexi bar such that the guide elements (18) of
the bar engage in the groove of the base plate.
4.
Switch on the machine.
5.
Cut the chip breaker guard (19) uniformly along
the entire Flexi bar.
6.
Switch off the machine.
✓
The chip breaker guard is cut to size.

The resulting cut edge on the chip breaker guard serves as a tracing edge for straight cuts and bevel cuts.
