• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw
rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under
furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from traffic area
and where it will not be tripped over.
• If connecting power to fixed wiring, use an all-pole disconnec-
tion device having at least 3 mm clearances in all poles, and
have a leakage current that may exceed 10 mA, the residual
current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current
not exceeding 30 mA, and disconnection must be incorporated
in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
