Quillible Proto-Whistle (DCS Only)
Your MTH steamer is equipped with a quillible Proto-Whistle. In addition to
blowing long and short whistle blast using the whistle button on your transformer
or DCS Remote, you can quill the whistle (play high and low sounds) using a DCS
Remote.
To “Play” the Quillible Proto-Whistle, press the soft key
SPW
on the remote. When
the
SPW
is highlighted the Quillible Proto-Whistle Function is activated. The
thumbwheel will not control nor change the engine speed while the SPW function is
activated.
To quill the Quillible Proto-Whistle, roll the thumbwheel forward then back. You
will notice the changes in the whistle sound. The more that you roll the
thumbwheel, the more changes you will hear in the whistle sound. You can continue
to roll the thumbwheel changing the pitch of the whistle.
In order to revert the thumbwheel back to speed control, press the
SPW
soft key.
When the SPW is no longer highlighted, the thumbwheel will control the speed of
the locomotive.
