MAJESTIC PRODUCTS cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect accident occurring as a result of use other than provided for in this notice; do not
use this equipment beyond its capabilities!
A retractable fall arrester is a piece of personal protection equipment. It should be allocated to a single user (it can only be used by one person e end of the retractable
lanyard then tears to absorb
the energy generated by the fall.
User safety relies on the effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
Product markings should be checked periodically for legibility.
USE AND PRECAUTIONS:
The recommended service life of the equipment is 10 years (in accordance with the annual examination by a competent person authorized by MAJESTIC
PRODUCTS), but it may be increased or reduced according to use and/or the results of the annual inspections. The product must be checked systematically in case
of doubt or after a fall and at least every year by the manufacturer or his authorised representative, in order to guarantee its resistance and thus the safety of the
end-user. The product data sheet should be completed (by writing) after each verification; date of inspection and date of next inspection must be indicated on the data
sheet, it is also recommended to put date of next inspection on the product.
VERIFICATION PROCEDURE:
During transportation, keep the equipment away from any cutting edges and in its packaging. Clean with water, wipe with a cloth and hang in a ventilated room to dry
naturally, ensuring that it is away from any direct light or source of heat; the same applies for elements that may have got wet during use. The device must be stored in
a cool, dry and ventilated room, and in its packaging.
SERVICING AND STORAGE: (these instructions must be strictly observed)
The equipment should be used with a fall arrest system as specified in the data sheet (see standard EN 363:2008) to guarantee that the dynamic force exerted on the
user during the arrest of a fall is maxi 6 kN. A fall arrest harness (EN 361:2002) is the only body gripping device that may be used. It may be dangerous to create one’s
own fall arrest system where each safety function can interfere with another safety function. Therefore, it is important to read the
recommendations on using each component in the system before use.

* It is essential for safety reason to verify the clearance at the work place before each use and during use in order to be sure there will be no collision with the ground or
obstacle in case of fall. Take particular attention to obstacle in movement (for example truck, mobile work platform,…..). The maximum angle of inclination when used
vertically must be: 40 °. Use the product between: - 30°C / 50°C.
Be aware of the hazards that could reduce the performance of your equipment, and therefore the user’s safety, if exposed to extreme temperatures (< -30°C or >
50°C), prolonged exposure to the elements (UV rays, humidity), chemical agents, electrical constraints, twisting of the fall arrest system during use, sharp edges,
friction or cutting, etc.
Ensure that the general arrangement limits swinging in the event of a fall, and that the work is done in such a way as to limit the risk and the height of a fall.
For safety reasons and before each use, make sure that in the event of a fall there is no obstacle obstructing the normal deployment of the cable or the webbing.
We also recommend that you do not suddenly let go of the cable when it is rolled out; it is better to keep a hand on it as it reels into the retractable fall arrester.
Before and during use, we recommend that you take all the necessary precautions for a safe rescue should it be needed.
This equipment is for the sole use of people trained, skilled and in good health, or under the supervision of a trained and skilled person.
Warning! Certain medical conditions may affect user safety; if in doubt, consult your doctor.
Before using, always check that the locking system is in working order and that the fall indicator is not triggered (if there is one on the connector). Check that the cable/
webbing is not cut, frayed or burnt. Check that the metal parts are not deformed or oxidised, and check that the connectors are working properly (locking/opening).
The protective casings and the cover of the energy dissipater must be in place and undamaged. Product markings must remain legible. If there is any doubt as to the
condition of the device, or after a fall, it must not be reused (marking it with the words «DO NOT USE» is recommended) and must be returned to the manufacturer or
to a qualified person appointed by the manufacturer.
Do not remove, add or replace any component of the product.
Chemical products: put the system out of use if it comes into contact with chemical products, solvents or fuels which could affect its working.
TECHNICAL DATA : Webbing 20 mm – Material: polyester and polyamide – Breaking strength > 15 kN.
In normal use, the top swivel can be connected either to the anchoring point on the structure or to the attachment point on the harness.
WARNING! In horizontal use (close to a sharp edge), it is IMPERATIVE that the top swivel is connected to the anchoring point and that the other end is connected to
attachment point on the harness.
The device’s anchoring point must be positioned above the user and must comply with standard EN795 (R>12kN - EN 795:2012 or R>10kN - EN 795:1996).
However, the equipment is also certified for use above the anchoring point (Factor 2). WARNING! In this case, the necessary clearance is: a minimum of 5 m under the
user.
It is prohibited to use the device with structures with small diameters and corrosion as this can affect the performance of the webbing, unless these are adequately
protected.
The equipment is certified for horizontal use near sharp edges (RfUs VG11.060:2014). WARNING! In this case, do not combine horizontal use AND fall factor 2, see
the figures below.
