Install Mounting Brackets

VX4 User’s Guide

VMT Integrated Keyboard Bracket Assembly

Note:

Bolts, washers, and wrench needed when attaching the bracket to the vehicle are not
supplied by LXE.

1. Viewing Angle Adjustment Bolts and

Washers (4 sets)

2. Main Mounting Bracket Assembly

3. Keyboard Arm (2, right and left)

4. Keyboard

5. Keyboard

Bracket

6. Adjustment Knob (2 each)

7. Detents (2 each side)

Equipment Needed

: Phillips screwdriver, torque wrench.

1.

Loosen the VMT viewing angle adjustment bolts (1) of the Main Mounting
Bracket Assembly (2).

2.

Remove the two bolts and washers from the left side of the Main Mounting
Bracket assembly, and mount the left Keyboard Arm (3) to the Main Mounting
Bracket assembly loosely using the washers and two new bolts.

3.

Remove the two bolts and washers from the right side of the Main Mounting
Bracket assembly, and mount the right Keyboard Arm to the Main Mounting
Bracket assembly loosely using the washers and two new bolts.

4.

Assemble the Keyboard (4) to the Keyboard Bracket (5) with the #10-32 screws
and washers. Tighten screws to 9 +/- 1 in/lb (1.02 N/m).

5.

Assemble Keyboard and Bracket to Keyboard Arms using the Adjustment Knobs
