LDS Plus Reference Guide

?x – Error

Error Message. The network device sends a ?x message to the host computer when there is an
error in the last message sent from the host computer.

Possible values for x:

Values for x Description

1 Not

implemented.

Unexpected "R" type message was received from the host or was not received
in the specified time limit.

The header of a message sent from the host computer contained an illegal LXE
type character.

The message from the host computer contained an illegal ASCII control
character.

The illegal ASCII characters are 00 hex through 1F hex with the exception of
the following characters:

Line Feed

0A hex

Carriage Return

0D hex

DC1XON

hex

DC3XOFF

hex

The host should also not send 80 hex through FF hex.
