Control Characters for Forced Outbound Forms
The control character determines whether a message is a form or non-form message. The control
character also determines whether a message is sent forced or unforced.
Rule: The control character for a form message is always lowercase.
Rule: Always send form message forced to ensure that the DOS terminal
accepts it.
The following message illustrates the location of the control character in an outbound form
message:

The control can either produce multiple beeps or change the buffer length, but not both. If you
wish to change both the beep pattern and buffer length, see Chapter 5, “Expanded Functions”, and
the Form Message Header section of this chapter.

a, c, g, q, s, w, i, k, o
