The unused bits are set to 0 by default so that the hexadecimal status code 0 indicates the full
operational readiness of the CHM 15k.
8.5.1 Escalated status codes
An additional escalating status code was implemented in 2018. It is divided into the following eight groups:

Laser and test laser

Other sensors (window contamination sensor, laser monitor)

Each group is assigned a position in the hex representation of the 32-bit status code. For example,
information, warnings and errors relating to temperatures (group 3) are in the third place from the right,
i.e. xxxxxTxx.
In each group, only the highest priority error, the highest error code in the status code, is displayed.
With the setting
SystemStatusMode (SSM) the user can define, which status code variants for the
telegram output should be used. The CHM 15k is using the standard status codes by default.
