Model
500
A Model 500 Brick® measures approximately 17.5” wide x 18” deep x 1.75” (1U)
high and is intended to be installed in a standard 19-inch rack. It comes with two
optional sliding rack mounting brackets that can be attached to the sides to secure it to
the rack.
The Model 500 contains 14 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet ports and 1 Gigabit Fiber port.
A hardware based Encryption Accelerator Board can be optionally added.

The front bezel contains four activity lights:

The Power (PWR) light will turn solid green when the Model 500 is powered
on (by the switch in the rear).
NOTE
For installation into networks that are subject to surges, a shielded ethernet
cable and / or serial port cable may be needed for regulatory compliance.
