Overview

This chapter describes how and why you would want to use the Explorer Classic
program.

Explorer Classic allows you to use the original version of CentreVu Explorer, but
adds some of the new functionality of CentreVu Explorer II. This chapter describes
how to customize the CentreVu Explorer II to your call center by providing
meaningful names to splits/skills, vector directory numbers (VDNs), reason codes,
External Call History Interface (ECHI) data elements, and by providing names to
your Agent Login IDs.

Explorer Classic presents the familiar Explorer desktop, but with new query
capabilities, such as conditional queries and new user interface elements. It is also
enhanced by the static Navigation frame on the left that eliminates the need for the
browser’s Back button. In Explorer Classic, as with other CentreVu Explorer II
queries, results are delivered in its own window.
