3. LongCo Features
The batteries used on the LongCo are based on Lithium technology. These batteries
are designed using the latest technology for high power density, low weight and a
long-life span.
3.1. Batteries
Basic
Before using the LongCo for the first time, please charge both Batteries until full
(approximately 3 hours with the standard charger, wait until the LED change to green).
Battery OLED Display On the top of the battery shows (see picture on the left side):
- Main push button (right side of the OLED)
Turn on = Push short, Turn Off = Push 2s
- OLED-Display (in the middle)
- Display Select button (left side of the OLED): Short Push = Switch Display, 2s
long push = Change from 5A to 2A charge current limit.
Charging port for use only when the battery is not installed in the LongCo (located on
backside of the battery).
The OLED Display shows:
- Remaining capacity as bar chart
- M5 or M2 (5A or 2A Charge current limitation)
- Remaining capacity in % (on the picture: 99%, so battery is almost full)
- STBY or ON
- The third line can be changed by push the button on the left side of the
OLED:
A) Voltage [V] (on the picture 58.2V), Current [A]
B) Number of Cycles [CYC] (charge or discharge of battery)
C) Remaining charge or discharge time [MIN] + Battery Temperature [°C]
The Battery can be charged if removed from the LongCo ( OffBoard) or if installed on
the LongCo ( OnBoard) .
