c.CAMSHAFT/ CRANKSHAFT
d.OIL LEVEL SWITCH
Ckeck continuity of the switch with an ohmmeter.
1) Hold the switch in its normal position. The
ohmmeter should read zero resistance.
2) Hold the switch upside down. The ohmmeter
should read infinity (
∞
) resistance.
3) Inspect the float by dipping the switch into a
container of oil. The ohmmeter reading should
go from zero to infinty as the switch is lowered.
REASSEMBLY:
Install the balancer first, and then
install the camshaft.
1) Align the index marks on the
balancer and balancer drive
gear.
2) Align the index marks on the
camshaft and timing gear.
