ADJUSTMENT
For optimal precision of the planed workpiece, the
in-feed tables must be adjusted before use. Start by
adjusting the height of the table so that it matches
the lateral and vertical angles of the planer table.
This is adjusted with the in-feed table mounting
screws on the underside of the in-feed table.
Use a straight-edge placed on the planer table and
use this as a reference in adjusting the height of the
table.
Once the table has been adjusted in the attachment
side so that it matches the planer table, it is time to
adjust the angle of the table. Use a straight-edge
placed on the planer table, then adjust the angle of
the in-feed table with the adjusting screws so that
the angle matches the straight-edge.
In some cases, it may be advantageous for the outer
ends of the feed tables to be slightly higher than the
planer table to reduce in-feed and out-feed marks.
This is especially true when working with thin or soft
workpieces. However, the outer ends should never
be lower than the planer table. The in-feed table can
be adjusted in two positions with the handle at the
lower edge.
