5.3 Calibrating the Counter
In general, recalibration of the
LUNA™ Automated Cell Counter is not necessary since it is pre-
calibrated during manufacture. However, if needed, please follow the procedure below.
5.3.1 Turn on the instrument to show the Start-Up screen on the display. If the instrument is already
turned on, please turn off and on, and then
go to the “Start-Up” screen.
Note
: From ver. 3.2.1 SW, the
LUNA™ provides 3 steps for calibration.
Step 1: This is for non Trypan Blue or PBS
.
The counting slide must be removed from the
instrument to do this step.
Step 2: This is for Trypan Blue dye. Please insert a slide containing Trypan Blue dye 1:1
diluted with PBS. (Trypan Blue 0.2% concentration)
Step 3: This is for
a special “Custom Staining” counting. This step can be skipped if you are
not using any specific or different dye for your sample other than Trypan Blue 0.4%
concentration.
5.3.2 Step 1 Calibration
1) Go to the “Settings” menu and click the “Calibrate” button.
2) You will see the pop-up box as below.
3) Any counting slide must be removed from the LUNA.
4) Press the “Start” button to initiate the calibration.
