Temporarily install the piece of 7/16 x 3 1/2 x 20 OSB
to to the top plate. Measure out 5 1/2” from the edge of
the top plate as shown, and fasten.

Fasten the truss to the temporary piece of OSB, with
a 1 1/4” blackheaded screw as shown, repeat on the
other side.

Now it is ready for gable studs. *Refer to your WALL
DIagRaM Sheet for your particular layout.

Place the gable studs and fasten with 3” nails.
28.
Continue with gable studs, secure with 3” nails.
29.
Next, install the Smartside siding.
Place the siding 3” down from the
bottom plate and 3 1/2” over from
the side of the bottom plate.
