Next install the door stops and keep flush with the
top of the 2x4 (not Smartside) and secure with 2” nails.
49.
Install the 2 3/4” trim around the door and secure
with 2” nails.
50.
Install the trim block in the center of the header, and
secure with 2” nails.
51.
For rake installation, measure 2 1/2” from the edge of
the Smartside, and mark with pencil, as shown.
52.
Do the same as pictured before.
53.
Now install the 2x3 rake. Install at 2 1/2” marks so
the 2x3 will be flush with the 7/16 OSB roof sheeting once
installed.
