PLC

“Power Line Carrier” (also know as PLC4TRUCKS)
is a method to communicate
ABS
operation and other information to the tractor over the Auxiliary circuit.
Tractors and Trailers manufactured after March 1, 2001 are required to have
PLC capability
MODULATOR VALVE
– controls brake application with a signal from the ECU
SENSOR
– A wheel sensor for measuring wheel revolutions
FAULTS
–
1. Current – a fault which currently exists
2. Stored – a fault which occurred previously, but does not presently exist
3. Intermittent – a fault which comes and goes, usually with certain driving
conditions.
