5.1 System Desciption

Based on the functional principle of ballistocardiography, patients are monitored by a bed-side hardware unit of the SafeSense®

3 Monitoring System. This system consists of an electronic-free pad (SafeSense® 3 Air Pad) located under the mattress, which

is connected to a hardware unit (SafeSense® 3 Hub) through an air hose. From there, the data is sent to remote devices via (W)

LAN. The data is visualized using an SafeSense Application. Targeted and efficient patient care is also supported by an integrated

notification function.
