- Leave the steam generator on
- Remove the water tank.
- Slide out the anti-cal cartridge and place a new one.
- Wait for seconds before replacing the water tank.
Note : the anti-cal cartridge can not be removed with the water tank still in place.
When the anti-cal cartridge hasn’t been placed correctly you’ll hear a continuous biep
signal.
When the anti-cal cartridge is replaced when the appliance is turned off, the electronic
anti-cal system will not recognise the new cartridge.
Important :
- Don’t try to iron with a full anti-cal cartridge, this will damage your appliance.
- Don’t use the iron without an anti-cal cartridge in place.
AUTOMATIC SWITCH OFF
The appliance will turn off automatically when the steam isn’t used for 15 min. The
power indicator light will start to blink. You can turn on the unit again by pressing the
power button.
DRAINING THE WATER
Unplug the unit.
Remove the water tank.
Remove the water from the water tank by turning it upside down.
Replace the water tank.
SELF CLEANING
Your steam generator has a self cleaning function, to keep the steam holes and steam
chamber free of scale. We suggest to do the following procedure once a month.
- Unwind the power cord and supply cord.
- Fill the water tank with tap water.
- Plug in the unit.
- The steam indicator light will blink to indicate the unit is heating up.
- Make sure the steam function is set to the max. Level.
- Make sure the temperature on your iron is set to the min.
- Wait until the unit is completely heated up and the indication light stops blinking.
- The appliance is now ready for self clean.
- Hold the iron 15 cm above the sink in ironing position. Press the steam button and
hold it for about 3 min. Lose parts of scale will now come out throught the holes in the
sole plate.
- Turn the temperature dial on your iron to the max. Position and now iron a damp
cloth to remove left over scale on the sole plate.
- Turn the themperature dial to the min. Position.
