Rear Panel

Installation & Operation
For installation of this KVM Extender, please follow the steps below. Before installation ensure that all
devices are powered off. The below installation example is based on the use of USB as the method of
control.
1. Connect the Transmitter to an HDMI source device using an HDMI cable. For a stable connection, we
recommend using a high-quality HDMI cable up to 3m (9.84ft) in length.
2. Connect a USB Type A to B cable from a source PC to the USB Type B port on the transmitter.
3. Install an included SFP+ fibre module to the SFP+ port on the transmitter & receiver units.
4. Connect a duplex LC OM3 Multi-mode (50/125µm) fibre optic cable to the LC port on the SFP+ module
on the transmitter and connect the other end to the SFP+ module on the receiver.
5. Using an HDMI cable, connect a HDMI display or projector to the HDMI port on the receiver.
6. Connect any desired USB devices to the USB Type A ports on the receiver.
7. Connect one of the included multi-country power supplies to the DC5V connector on both the
transmitter and receiver unit. Once connected, power both units on.
8. Power on the source device, followed by the display device.
Installation is now complete.
Dip Switch
The device can be controlled using Serial, IR & USB.
To select the required control method, adjust the dip
switches on both the transmitter & receiver to the same
position. Please see the diagram which shows the
position of the dip switch for each control method.
The shaded position shown represents the position of
the switch. For example, the USB switch locations
should both be downward as shown.
