OPERATION
Pairing the Pedal/reCeiVer
The pairing procedure establishes a communication link between
the pedal and receiver which is maintained until this procedure is
repeated (systems remained paired even if power is removed).
Normal operation requires that the systems are placed in Control
Mode
(DIP SWITCH #1
is set to the “OFF” position on both the
pedal and receiver). To pair a different pedal, place the system
into Configure Mode.
Pairing in Configure Mode:
(See figure A.6)
1. Ensure that power is applied to both the pedal and receiver.
2. Set
DIP SWITCH #1
on both the pedal and receiver to “ON”.
3. Fully depress the pedal for 2 seconds, then release.
4. Set
DIP SWITCH #1
on both the pedal and receiver back to
“OFF”.
5. Replace plug button/cover.
dual Power mode™
Dual power mode optimizes communication performance when
welding in challenging RF environments. Note that the system
should only be placed in High power mode if communication is (or
becomes) unreliable as this mode will impact battery life.
Activating high power mode:
(See figure A.7)
1. Remove battery cover.
2. Ensure that batteries have been removed from the pedal.
3. Fully engage the pedal and continue to engage while batteries
are inserted.
4. Release the pedal. The system is now in High power mode as
indicated by the Receiver battery LED blinking at .5 Hz during
transmission.
5. Replace battery cover.
Returning to standard power mode:
1. Remove battery cover.
2. Remove batteries (if necessary) and re-insert batteries with the
pedal unengaged.
3. The system is now in Standard power mode as indicated the
Receiver battery LED illuminating solid during transmission.
4. Replace battery cover.
