LIFETECH s.r.o.
During the operation of the device, no one must enter the room. If this is unavoidable,
enter the room only when the ozone concentration in the room is at a level that does
not cause any health problems.
Long-term mode of operation is recommended for rooms that are affected by odours, mold, etc. to a
greater extent. After ozone production is complete, wait approximately 90 minutes for self-destruction of
ozone. Entry into the treated area only after elapse of this time to avoid any health risk. After ozonation the
air in the room is clean and fresh.
According to WHO limits, the maximum allowable concentration (MAC) of ozone in the air of working
zone is 0.1 mg/m3, the maximum single MAC of ozone in atmospheric air - 0,16 mg/m3, average daily
MAC of ozone in ambient air is 0.03 mg/m3. Although the human nose can feel a concentration 20
times lower. Besides ozone, unlike chlorine or carbon monoxide does not inhibit olfactory receptors.
Thus, it is impossible unnoticeably to breathe in ozone in small concentrations, in contrast to chlorine.
For safety reasons, it is recommended to lock the door of the room, or clearly indicate with a warning
sign that a process of ozonation is taking place in the room.
Close windows, doors, and if they do not close tightly, seal the cracks. For example with duct
tape. After starting the treatment, leave the room, close the door to prevent leakage of ozone
from the room. Before leaving the room, make sure that there are no people or pets inside.
It is important that during the process of production and destruction of active oxygen, no
one enters the room. If entry into the room is necessary, this could be possible only if the
concentration of ozone in the room does not cause any health problems (see Annex).
Ozone is a toxic gas. Never breathe ozone at the outlet of the air stream from the device!
Fulfil the safety precautions applicable to electrical equipment! Avoid electric shock. Never
try to break into the device, never repair it yourself. During operation, the device must not
be covered and not be carried.
The device must not come into contact with liquids. A device that got wet should never be
used. In this case, contact the manufacturer.
5. Precautions and notes on ozone application
6. Instructions for use
•
remove the source of odour such as cigarette butts, ash, biological waste, etc.
•
take away or tightly seal aromatic foods, perfumes and detergents
•
if you also want to carry out deodorization and disinfection of things that are in cabinets or in drawers
of tables, then open drawers and doors of cabinets
•
turn off the external ventilation or ventilation hood
•
do not use aromatic polishes and detergents immediately before application
•
all surfaces in the room should be dry
•
place the device on a stable support, preferably in the centre of the room, so that the air flow is not
limited by any obstacle
•
ensure that children and pets do not have access to the room, remove all plants from the room as well
•
do not expose the device to increased humidity, prevent liquids from getting into the device
•
do not use the device in the presence of chemicals that could release corrosive or explosive fumes
•
do not cover the air intake and outlet openings, do not place any objects on the device
•
never use damaged or dirty equipment
•
remove objects containing rubber parts – prolonged applications of ozone and its high concentrations
can damage rubber and some plastics
•
the power supply of the device generates a high voltage; opening the instrument case while operating
under voltage may result in electric shock.
•
if you need any service or repair, contact the manufacturer or its Authorized Service Centre
Keep the air intake and outlet openings free and clean. Clean the surface of the device and
the holes only if the device is disconnected from the mains. Never interfere with the inside
of the device. Any objects, and especially not liquids, should not get into the device.
