85 Connecting the sensor leads to the Standard 10/20 EEG Headbox
To Connect Single Electrodes
1. Using standard DIN 42-802 sensor leads: For all typical single electrode sensor leads (including snap-in, fixed cup,
alligator clip, etc.), a single connector is provided for each lead on the Standard 10/20 EEG Headbox.
2. Add conductive paste inside each of the sensor cups.
3. Place the sensors on the patient's head according to the standard 10/20 system.
4. Connect each sensor individually to the corresponding jack on the Headbox.
To Connect E-Caps
1. Flip open the E-cap connector cover on the Standard 10/20 EEG Headbox.
2. Place the E-Cap on the patient in accordance with the 10/20 system and manufacturer's instructions.
3. Connect the E-Cap to the Standard 10/20 EEG Headbox E-Cap connector (25 pin d-sub), either directly or through
the use of an adapter (check with the manufacturer of the E-Cap). The pin-out should be compatible with the below
diagram.
NOTE:
Reference and Ground must be connected to collect EEG data. Fz, Cz, and Pz (Midline) must be
connected to begin impedance measurement. If the correct sensors are not connected, the midline sensor
icons flash and show the impedance gauges at high impedance.
