Map matching

As mentioned, the GPS systems used by this
Mobile Navigation System are susceptible to
certain errors. Their calculations may on occa-
sion place you in a location the map where no
road exists. In this situation, the processing
system understands that vehicles travel only
on roads, and is able to correct your position
by adjusting it to a nearby road. This is called
map matching.

Can not see extended lane and
speed limit icon.

The indicators for extended lane and speed
limit are displayed only in the region where
their resources are included.

TMC location information are
wrong or can not see the location
information.

The version for the location information
received from broadcasting station and
applied by Navigation software may be differ-
ent. In the case, the location information of
event lists may be incorrect or not exist.

Can not hear Road name even if
setting TTS.

You can listen to the voice about road name
when the language set for TTS and the nation
that you’re driving now. The voice information
and its pronunciation may not be correct or be
played back with low quality.

Camera data is not newly updated.

The guide information may be incorrect.
Visit the web site and update the previous
data.(charged)

About speed camera

Use of the speed camera may be illegal in
some countries.

How to update the camera data

1. To update camera database, visit the site

www.poicon.com.

2. Download *.lgsf (charged).

3. Turn the ignition switch off.

4. Separate the front panel of LAN9700R

and then SD card on the left.
(Screw drivers may be needed.)

5. Connect the SD card to PC.

(The capacity is 4GB. Connection may
be impossible depending on the OS of
PC. In the case, you have to upgrade the
OS to make PC connection possible.)

6. Copy the downloaded *.lgsf to SD card root

directory\data\cam when the connected SD
card is recognized as a disc driver on PC.

7. Overwrite all of the *lgsf data downloaded

through the step 2 into the 5th directory.

8. Remove the SD Card disc driver from

PC safely after overwriting is completed.

9. Insert the card to the device again, you

can use the updated camera data.

10. Turn the ignition switch on. And then use

the unit.

Note

Do not use the SD card inside the device in
other purpose and the product will not work
correctly if you replace the SD card with what
is not authorized by LG.
