Messages

With Messages, you can send and receive short text messages be-
tween your phone and another phone that has been registered with
in the iPECS system. This chapter explains how to use the Messages.
Receiving Message
When you receive a text message, it will be dis-
played automatically on your phone’s screen.
After reading the message, select the one of fol-
lowing options you want:
•
Menu
to display the options which are available
in the message. (See "Inbox" on page 62.)
•
OK
to go to the standby mode.
•
Delete
to delete the current message.
Writing Text Message
Message notification
Compose a text message you wish to send it A single text message
can be up to 80 characters.
1. Press
> Messages > Write Message
.

Shortcut:
From standby mode, press navigation key right to
directly access the Messages.
2. Select
Contact me
field (It may already be
highlighted.) and compose a message or use the
common terms or smiley (emoticons) and press .

To type a message, use your keypad to enter
your message. Use the right softkey to select a
character input mode. (See “Entering Text”on
page 18.)
