Software Upgrade

Users can often download software in order to update to the phone.

This appendix describes how to upgrade your phone’s software with

a newer version.

Note:

Depending on the system, phone can be updated with a new

software through the provisioning process. (See "Provisioning Set-

ting" on page 90.) Often the download is a patch, it does not contain

the new version of the software in its entirety.

Network Configuration for Upgrade

Network upgrade configuration for your phone with a newer or bet-

ter version of the software is as below picture.

Ethernet cable

Tip:

Place your Wireless AP close enough to the computer so that the

cables will reach.

1. Plug the Ethernet cable into the back of your computer and plug the

other end into the "LAN" port at your Wireless AP.

2. Connect your phone to Wireless network.

The IP address of PC and your phone should be within same
network.
